These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the retraceable. platform and services ("Service") operated by retraceable. ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

retraceable. provides tools for ingredient verification, supplier documentation management, and vegan certification for consumer product brands. The Service includes:

• automated ingredient classification against the retraceable. ingredient database;
• vegan verification reports with a permanent public URL and QR code;
• supplier document collection and storage;
• a public ingredient database and free ingredient checker.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use the paid features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Accounts may not be shared between organisations.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• submit false or misleading ingredient lists for verification;
• use verification reports in a way that misrepresents the scope of what was verified;
• attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

4. Verification reports and certifications

A retraceable. verification report confirms that the submitted ingredient list was checked against the retraceable. database on the date shown, and that no confirmed animal-derived ingredients were detected among matched entries.

Reports do not constitute a guarantee that a product is free of all animal-derived substances. Ingredients classified as "dual-origin" or "unknown" are flagged in the report and may require additional supplier documentation to resolve.

You are responsible for ensuring that the ingredient list you submit is complete and accurate. retraceable. accepts no liability for errors in submitted data.

Reports are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. It is your responsibility to renew verification when ingredients or formulations change.

5. Public reports

Verification reports are published at a permanent public URL. This URL and its contents may be indexed by search engines and shared publicly. You accept that verification reports, once issued, form a permanent part of the public record and cannot be deleted, though they can be marked as expired.

6. Supplier documents

Documents you upload are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. By uploading a document, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it is genuine. You accept responsibility for the accuracy of the information contained in uploaded documents.

7. Plans and payment

Free plan features are available without payment. Paid plans are billed annually in advance. Plan limits apply to the number of active products, as described on the pricing page. pricing page.

Refunds are not provided for unused portions of a paid plan period. Downgrading a plan takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

8. Intellectual property

The retraceable. ingredient database, classification system, and platform software are owned by retraceable. The ingredient data is made available for use within the Service. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercialise it outside the Service without written permission.

You retain ownership of the ingredient lists, product data, and supplier documents you submit.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, retraceable. disclaims all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on verification results for commercial or regulatory purposes.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days and then deleted, except for information that forms part of published verification reports.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
